Pitcher and Piano: Nottingham

Just a short post today about a little destination I wanted to share, me and my mum recently went for a shopping trip and general mosey round my university home of Nottingham, and I love this city because the shopping is great, the food is amazing and the people are lovely! Not to mention everything is so close together so its a short walk from one thing to another!

For lunch we decided to go somewhere a little different, and as I've lived in Nottingham for around the pat 7/8 months at uni, I've been to quite a lot of the well known and amazing cafés, pubs and restaurants, but I'd never been to Pitcher and Piano.

Set inside an old church, complete with stained glass windows, Pitcher and Piano is a modern style establishment, but still has quite a pub-like feel to it, making it really relaxed but still quite fancy. The décor is really simple with a large bar centred in the restaurant with small little nooks to sit in, which are really cosy and comfortable, and something which made the restaurant really interesting to look at!

In terms of food, me and mum decided to go for the same thing; a cheese and onion toastie complete with skinny fires and coleslaw. even though it wasn't the most complicated dish in the world, it really was super tasty and I'd definitely have it again! The fries were to die for!

Overall I'd really recommend Pitcher and Piano, the menu has something for everyone and it isn't very expensive, its perfect for a light lunch or even as a quirky dinner destination!
